Are BLITZINbikes legal to ride on Australian roads and bike paths?

Yes! E-bikes are legal to ride on Australian roads and bike paths, provided they meet the national standards. Most states allow the European standard (EN15194), which sets the core requirements. In general, e-bikes must:
  • Not exceed 250W (some states like NSW, allow up to 500W)
  • Not exceed 25 km/h
  • Not be powered solely by a throttle
  • Operate with pedal assist only (the pedals must be turning for the motor to work)
  • Follow standard road rules, including helmet use, speed limits, and designated path use
The benefit? You can ride on both roads and bike paths without needing a special license! Rules can differ slightly by state. It’s good to check with your local authority for advice before riding.

What is the maximum speed?

Our 1000W range can hit a 55km/h top speed! (25km/h street mode)

How far can I ride on a single charge?

Our 1000w range can reach up to 80km on a single charge, giving you plenty of distance for commuting, cruising, or weekend adventures. Actual range will vary depending on how you ride. Going full throttle will reduce distance, while factors like terrain, rider weight, and riding style can also make a difference in range.

How long does the battery take to charge?

The big 20Ah batteries we use on the 1000W range will take between 5-8 hours to fully charge.

Do the bikes come assembled, or will I need to put them together?

The bikes are shipped approximately 80% pre-assembled with simple, easy to follow instructions included to complete the bike.

How does an e-bike work?

A BLITZINbikes model works just like a regular bicycle you’re used to, but with a BIG extra boost when you need it. At the heart of every e-bike is an electric motor powered by a key-lock, removable, rechargeable battery. When you pedal, the motor provides pedal-assist, giving you more speed and power without extra effort. The harder you pedal, the more support the motor gives, making hills easier and longer rides more comfortable. Our 1000W range includes a street-legal mode that lets you manually limit speed to 25 km/h with a flick of a button, perfect for relaxed cruising in public spaces.

Shipping & Delivery

How much does shipping cost and how long will delivery take?

We charge a $150AUD shipping fee nationally, except for the NT, WA and TAS which is $300AUD. Most of our customers get their bike within a week!

What happens after I order my bike?

We aim to ship within 24-72 hours; this can be longer for ground up custom builds.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy if I change my mind?

At BLITZINbikes, we know you’ll love your new e-bike.
However, if for any reason you don’t, you can return it, and we’ll refund your money. That’s how confident we are in the quality of our bikes.

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your e-bike to request a return.

To be eligible, your e-bike must:
• Be in the same condition you received it
• Be unused, with tags, and in original packaging
• Have no more than 30 km on the odometer
• Include the receipt or proof of purchase

Conditions:
• Customer is responsible for return freight
• Any damage to the bike will be deducted from the refund
• A 10% restocking fee applies
• Returned e-bikes must meet the above odometer and condition requirements

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label and detailed instructions on how and where to send your bike.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if your e-bike is damaged, defective, or if you’ve received the wrong item. We’ll review the issue and make it right for you.

Exchanges
If you’d like a different model or colour, the fastest option is to return the item you have. Once your return is accepted, you can place a new order for the bike you want.

How long will it take to process a refund?

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Warranty & Servicing

What warranty do BLITZINbikes come with?

All BLITZINbikes are crafted for power, comfort, and long-term reliability. When we say quality, we back it!

Warranty Periods:
  • 5 years on frames
  • 12 months electrical components
  • (excluding main battery)
  • 18 months on main battery

What’s covered:
  • Manufacturer’s faults, defects and/or failure
  • Proof of purchase is required

What’s not covered:
  • Products altered from its original specification list
  • Claims outside warranty periods
  • Damage caused by incorrect assembly
  • Damage or failure due to misuse
  • Damage or failure due to lack of maintenance
  • General wear and tear

What is the process:
  • Contact a helpful BLITZINbikes team member via our contacts page and we will make an initial assessment in collaboration with yourself.
  • If a warrantable fault is established, we will send a replacement part.
  • Alternatively, we will plan for your BLITZINbikes to be returned to us. Warranty is valid in Australia only
